We are an independent American Civil War Living History and Reenacting group based in Central and Western Pennsylvania with members from throughout the state. Formed as a family oriented organization, our goal is to re-create the life and times of these men and women through reenactments, educational activities and historic displays at public events. To teach the public the history of early America and the struggles it endured.
This unit was established for the main purpose of honoring the veterans of the Civil War. Throughout the year we attend various living history events where we have the opportunity to teach the public about those times. We also attend tactical battle reenactments, in which the event hosts try to recreate scenarios from the war. Although we will never truly know what the men who served during those times went through, we strive to learn as much as we can about what they experienced and pass that on to others.We represent the Union Army of the Potomac with a component of Berdan's U.S. Sharpshooters and also various aspects of Civilian life of Central Pennsylvania that supported them. We also have a few special feature presentations when they are available.
We would love to come to your town, school or event to put on a Living History encampment. We are also currently recruiting Reenactor's & Living Historians, seasoned or beginners, and would love to have you in our organization.
